Hello Randy,
There are actually many ways to transfer the files you need to your
Amiga. I have been doing it for years, with something as simple as
a modem. You should have a sz prog on your Unix box that will
allow you to transfer the files directly to your Amiga from NDSUEXT.
You have of course heard that you can utilize Cross-DOS which is
built into the 2.0 OS, but there have been other methods available
to write MS-DOS disks for years. The one that I use to this day
is multi-dos. The prog is Shareware and can be found on your favorite
Amiga FTP sites.. The software will run under OS1.3 also and is
literally transparent to the OS. When I place a DOS disk in my drive
it is treated exactly like a AmigaDOS disk, unlike cross dos which has
you access the MS-DOS disk as a seperate device (not df0:).
One individual you may want to talk to about Amiga related subjects is
Ryan Harlick at NDSU. He is a very knowlegable individual.
Any other questions, just drop me a line....
